Chelsea is currently going through a bit of a rough patch on the pitch, to say the least, and the injury news kind of reflects that statement as well.
We've got good and bad news after another frustrating night at the Stamford Bridge last night, which saw Chelsea draw 1-1 with Aston Villa and the pressure ramp up against Frank Lampard.
The good news is that Hakim Ziyech could be available for Manchester City on Sunday, if the game is due to an outbreak of Covid in the City. But if it doesn't, Ziyech's going to be back for our next match anyway.
It said (via Sports Illustrated):
"There is a possibility that he might be fit for Manchester City if it goes on Sunday. I'll know that later in the week, but he's certainly making progress to the point where he's very close to fitness."
It seems, however, that Reece James has had another injury, as well as the knee issue with which he suffered.
Luckily, though, the Hamstring injury is described as 'small,' which hopefully means that it shouldn't be out for many more matches, if at all.
From Sports Illustration again, he said:
"Reece James has a little hamstring issue, and I don't say that's why Azpi played because I probably would have played him anyway."
